Steven Curtis Chapman Update

The forthcoming set is scheduled to release in 2007 via EMI’s Sparrow Records.

Working for the first time with producer Matt Bronleewe (Jars of Clay, Michael W. Smith), Chapmanplans to track about 24 songs before narrowing down the project to half that amount of final selections.

In related news, Chapman will road test some new songs on the 34-city Winter Jam 2007 Tour Spectacular that kicks off January 12 in Johnson City, Tennessee. Joining Chapman’s onstage band for this special run of shows are his sons Caleb and Will Franklin and a couple of their musical mates.

“Their band, The Following, is going to be my back-up band,” says Chapman. “And in my very unbiased opinion they are excellent musicians!”
