Halloween is here!

Halloween is here! Earlier this month I saw a rumor that indicated a pumpkin shortage. So far I have not seen evidence of that, but maybe it will be seen later this month as we get into pumpkin pies season. The cool spring and dry summer apparently caused problems in many areas. This is a good reason to grow your own pumpkins next year. They take several months to mature but can be started inside and grown on a fence. Fun things to do when growing pumpkins is to scratch a child’s initial on the immature pumpkin and the initial will grow along with the fruit! Think about trying some white pumpkins too as they will look great on the porch under a fun light
