I was happy to read this one for this column, though I'm sure I would have read it on my own eventually. Months ago I saw the film "What the Bleep Do We Know?!", and while I thought it was good for introducing people to some of the bizarreness of quantum mechanics, I was a little disturbed by some of the less than scientific stuff included as well. In particular, I was bothered by a scene that depicted ice crystals reacting to human emotions. Not exactly science there.
Quantum Enigma, I suspect, was written somewhat in response, and is well argued. Unfortunately, I don't think Quantum Enigma is going to get nearly the coverage of that film, but I do recommend reading it if you have seen the film and care (and want to know more) about the science behind it.
