New Insight on Chaos and Order

This bizarre, unpredicted, behavior is generated by a complex system of pendulums. It was predicted that if the pendulums are oscillated in an orderly fashion, they would remain ordered. However, the opposite was true. What is more, when the pendulums were oscillated in a disordered manner, ordered movement emerged.

What is really interesting here, is howthis might deepen our understanding of how complex systems can develop "spontaneously" from disorder; in particular, how chemistry arise from physics, and how biology arises from chemistry.
