Suze Orman TD Ameritrade Offer

Suze Orman’s new book, Women & Money: Owning the Power to Control Your Destiny, features an offer of a $100 bonus to readers who open a money-market account at TD Ameritrade and save at least $600 over one year through monthly electronic deposits.

In her book, Orman says she feels so strongly about encouraging women to save money that she set up this promotion with TD Ameritrade. Calling the offer “nearly impossible to refuse” Orman says setting up an automatic electronic transfer into a savings account is the best way to put saving money on auto-pilot.

This Suze Orman offer is only valid on new TD Ameritrade accounts opened between 2/27/07 and 3/31/08. To open an account, go to Orman’s web site developed especially for this offer: www.saveyourself.com and enter a code from the book (my library loaner included the code 701). Set up automatic monthly deposits of at least $50 from your checking account into the TD Ameritrade account and at the end of 12 months, TD Ameritrade will add a $100 bonus.

That's a nice offer. Some restrictions: The account must not be a retirement account. First deposit must occur within 30 days of opening the account. To be eligible, you must be a U.S. resident aged 18 or older. The Save Yourself account is a high-yield FDIC-insured Money Market Deposit Account. As of March 30, 2007, the account's annual percentage yield was 4.59 %.
