Dine out with your family on Tuesday nights at Denny’s restaurant and get a free meal for your kids, ages 10 and under. Get up to two free kid’s meals with the purchase of one regularly priced adult entrée.
Kids eat free at participating restaurants from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday nights. Some locations offer the same deal on Saturday nights, too.
Menu items for kids include the new Little Dipper Sampler, which features three chicken nuggets shaped like moons and stars, three mozzarella cheese sticks and a choice of side item. The sampler also includes celery, marinara sauce and ranch dressing.
Denny’s now offers some healthy side items beyond the standard French fries. Kids can choose a fruit medley bowl, grapes, mashed potatoes, applesauce, Goldfish crackers or the vegetable of the day.
Of course, at Denny’s you can order breakfast at any time. The junior version of Denny’s famous Grand Slam breakfast features three pancakes, one egg, three bacon strips and one sausage link.
As always, it pays to keep an eye on nutrition when dining out with your family. Choosing applesauce over fries trims nearly 300 calories and 13 fat grams from the Little Dipper Sampler. According to Denny’s Web site, the Little Dipper Sampler with marinara and fries packs in 860 calories and 43 grams of fat for each 12-ounce serving. A 10-ounce serving of the Little Dipper Sampler with marinara and applesauce has 566 calories and 27 fat grams.
The Junior Grand Slam weighs in the lightest of the three options here. It sports 21 grams of fat and 400 calories.
