Staying Extreme in the Winter

The weather has been turning grim lately. I watched another gray cloud cover settle over my house today and realized that winter will be here soon. My first thoughts were that I never got to some of the hiking spots I'd planned to conquer, it's now too cold to raft, and the trails are getting muddier. Oh, woe the loss of summer!

Enough of the pessimism, I know that winter has its own opportunities. Some of them are downright crazy! Snowmobile riding isn't just about backcountry riding and doing brodies in the snow. People are actually catching air and doing back flips on them. The Red Bull Fuel & Fury website has some video clips of some of the riders from the last competition. It's crazy to see how much air those guys are getting.

Extreme Winter Sports covers a few of the winter activities that are available to keep your energy up and push you to your limits during the cold season (if you live in an area with a cold season).
