Primal Quest begins on June 25th and runs through July 3rd. It's being held in Utah this year. 90 teams from around the world will be racing non-stop across a 450+ miles course. Neither the course nor the diciplines are realeased until immediately before the event but, based on past PQ's you can expect to see hiking & orienteering, climbing, biking, and kayaking or rafting. This is as extreme as it gets for endurance athletes. Some of these teams will cover the entire course in 5 days, some will struggle through the enitre 10 days. Either way, they rock!!
As I said, the course details won't be released until the night before. I'm interested in any theories you have as to great areas they may cover. My vote is for Arches National Park or Canyonlands. They are both great sites for hiking, climbing and mountain biking. An added benefit for the televised aspect is that the backdrop would be amazing!
This year, I'll be right there as teams roll, paddle or crawl across the finish line. I can't imagine a more exhilarating accomplishment and can't wait to share the results with you.
