I don't have to listen to the radio or watch TV to find out how the weather is in Toronto - I just look at how many people are reading my article and blog about the flight delays at Toronto International Airport.
To check the status of flights for an airline, there is information on the GTAA (Greater Toronto Airport Authority)'s website, and the airline's own website. There are also commercial websites that track arrivals and departures.
On the really bad days, for travellers with special needs, it's worth calling the airline to ask if the reservation can be changed to another day. Policies vary with circumstances, but on days when flights are being cancelled and delayed, there is no harm in asking.
