O'Donnell has very publicly criticized the show for being too harsh on people. Now she considers them racist because they are handling the Antonella situation different than the Frenchie one. They both had racy pictures spread around but Frenchie was let go and Antonella remains. American Idol said that they are not going to divulge the reasons why they let Frenchie go. According to news sources Barbara Walters said that she thinks Rosie was harsh. Posted by Jessica McFarlane After the tragic shootings at Columbine High School, Rosie O'Donnell says on the View that she went into a depression. She shut herself in a dark room and cried. She said after hearing about the shootings and the thirteen people who died, she couldn't stop crying. She felt like it was happening to her own children. She is on antidepressants and hangs upside down on a daily basis. Rosie claims this clears her head. She also suffers from SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder. She gets depressed in fall and winter. Hear her talk about these issues on Friday's episode of The View. Posted by Jessica McFarlane I never was a huge fan of Alan, but it is definitely sad to see him go. He is an anchor on General Hospital. He was married to Monica and had four children: Jason, AJ, Emily, and Skye. He had a sister, Tracey and brother, Justus. His parents were Lila and Edward. Jason and Edward were at odds the last couple years. I found it pretty sad when Jason ran out of time to tell his father that he loved him. But Jason knows in his heart his father knows! Posted by Jessica McFarlane Today I caught an episode of The Price is Right. That game show brings to mind so many memories. I remember watching it before I even had to go to school. Then there were those infamous snow days where we would turn Bob on at 11 ET. Summer vacation made room to catch The Price Is Right. That show gave me and many millions an opportunity to fantasize what we would do with all those prizes. My favorite is the Showcase Showdown. I enjoyed picking out my favorite showcase and pretending to win. It's hard to believe that the time is coming where there won't be a weekday fix of Bob Barker. What are we going to do? Posted by Jessica McFarlane Most of the soap operas have a special Valentine's Day special. Some couples get together, separate, have an affair, or die. What will happen this year? Posted by Jessica McFarlane Tammy ad Jonathon were star crossed lovers. They had a very rocky relationship. They were together, broke up, together, broke up etc etc. In the end, they married. They even got custody of Jonathon's daughter, Sarah. They were set to have a blissful life. Then tragedy hit! Tammy was hit by a car. She died in the hospital after a tearful goodbye. Then Jonathon staged the car accident that looked like he and Sarah died. But they are alive. He had to do it in order to get Jonathon off his back. Now they are starting a new life with each other. What will the Guiding Light be like without Tammy and Jonathon? I do not know, but they have big shoes to fill. Posted by Jessica McFarlane Tammy died this week on the Guiding Light. The Jonathon and Tammy storyline has been brewing for over one year. I couldn't believe the writers choose to end the story with tragedy. But after all it is a soap opera. Tammy died from injuries caused by being hit by a car that was supposed to kill Jonathon. Alan hired a hitman to kill Jonathon so he wouldn't take Sarah (Jonathon and Lizzie's baby.) Tammy heard about it and went to protect Jonathon. She ended up being struck instead. I thought Tammy would pull through, but she only woke for a few short minutes. She told Jonathon that she loved him. Jonathon cried very hard pleading with Tammy to live. I cried. It was portrayed very, very well. Posted by Jessica McFarlane After a long wait Oprah Winfrey finally announced her newest book club choice. The book selection is The Measure of a Man by Sidney Poitier. He is an actor. Oprah has always talked highly of him and he is well respected. Oprah said that she has not made a selection because she has been busy with choosing curriculum for the school of girls. She said the newest selection is very touching and made people cry. She created the book club many years ago. It has been a very successful club. Most authors have been set after being featured on her show. Posted by Jessica McFarlane Jonathon and Tammy have been very controversial on the Guiding Light. Jonathon basically seduced Tammy to get revenge towards Reva. Tammy and Jonathon are cousins. Little did he realize that he would fall madly in love with her. Tammy was devastated to discover that they were related. She also fell in love. She felt dirty and betrayed. The storyline bothered me and many readers especially with the incest theme. But I don’t know what happened but I started to cheer on this couple. They love each other so deeply and they are very dynamic. Now they are married and are about to start a life raising Sarah (Jonathon’s daughter.) On Friday, Tammy was struck by a car while trying to protect Jonathon from being hit. Will she survive? I hope so! Posted by Jessica McFarlane Rosie is outspoken once again. This time it is not towards Donald Trump, but to American Idol judges: Simon, Randy, and Paula. On the View aired Thursday, Rosie talked about the judges being rich but not giving much of a show. They make fun and humiliate people. She said it was pretty bad that Americans enjoy watching others being hurt. Kelli Pickler was a guest host on the show, and she defended the judges by saying that contestants know what they're getting into when they sign up for the show. American Idol is a show where amateurs compete to win the #1 position as the American Idol. Millions of people watch the show. Fox has the highest ratings ever when the season comes around. Posted by Jessica McFarlane Carly and Sonny have had one heck of a relationship. They started off hot then cold and followed that path for years. Once we think and hope they'll stay together - they split! The couple has two children together and had one miscarriage. They have chemistry like crazy. I wish that they would stay married for more than a month and be happy. This time around Sonny coaxed Carly into marrying him to help him. But he found out that he didn't need her help. Of course, he kept that a secret and married her anyway How long will this last? Posted by Jessica McFarlane Yesterday I read that Rosie yelled at Barbara Walters for lying to her and not cleaning up the Donald mess. It happened before the View came on and Rosie even cursed at her. Today I read that Trump sent Rosie a letter stating that Walters lied to both of them. He said that Walters told him that Rosie will not be on the show for long and working with her is very difficult. The View's ratings have soared due to the confrontation. I admit that I've been watching it more than I used to just to see what Rosie will say next. The Apprentice's ratings have declined. The View says that you do not want to miss todays show. Posted by Jessica McFarlane Barbara Walters made clear several times that Rosie took a pre-planned vacation with her family. I suspect that she made this annoyingly clear so the audience didn't think Rosie was fired. Before The View went on vacation, Rosie and Donald Trump had words. All the while, Barbara was on vacation. Today Barbara was on without Rosie. She said that she's very happy that she hired Rosie, and she stands by her decision. She also read a statement that ABC created to cover themselves legally. Barbara said that Rosie will return next Monday and should be welcomed with open arms. |
