Benny Parsons is the 1973 Winston Cup Champion, a 21-time winner in NASCAR's highest level of competition, and has competed in 526 NASCAR events. Parsons has been the voice of ESPN and NBC as a NASCAR broadcaster/analyst for nearly two decades.
Everyone who is involved in NASCAR, or a fan of NASCAR, wishes Benny Parsons and his family nothing but the best as he faces lung cancer. Parsons will begin treatment immediately, but is expected to continue his duties with NBC.
NASCAR.com has a message board for fans to post their thoughts and get-well wishes.
