Teaching Kids to Prevent the Spread of Germs During Cold and Flu Season

Staying healthy during cold and flu season is difficult, particularly for families with young children. Classrooms and playgrounds are breeding grounds for germs, and kids often get sick when it's back-to-school time.

Aside from concerns about the H1N1 virus (swine flu), the fall and winter months are difficult ones. To keep the common cold at bay, parents need to educate kids as young as preschool and toddler age about how germs spread and how to prevent flu and other illness.
