I was thinking about ideas of What Not to Buy for Christmas. To qualify, a gift has to be something that a child might want (no tube socks or educational videos), but that parents would stick on a high shelf...cursing your name.

I found some pretty bad gift ideas, of course, but a couple that I really enjoyed were the Jack Spade Frog Dissection Kit, and Giant Microbes.
