Where Does "Migraine" Come From?

The word "migraine" is a French adaption of the Latin word "hemicrania." For those who took Latin in high school, you might remember that hemi means "half", and crania means "head." So the original meaning of migraine was "half of the head", likely the area where typical migraine pain happens.
