Another comment on self-help techniques: a great way to let off some steam is to just call a friend. It's hard to communicate your feelings, symptoms, state of health, etc., but when you find someone who isn't freaked out, you've found a gem. Sometimes we fear being misunderstood or just plain pitied. Significant others and relatives probably know the whole story, but you might want to expand your support group to take the pressure off of the elite few. I'm so glad I was recently able to open up to a long-time friend. The right person, whether experiencing your same condition or not, will understand.
