As a side event to the United Nations' Commission on the Status of Women, the Holy See will run a side event on February 27 titled The Human Dignity of Women in Contemporary Society: Addressing Violence Against Women.
Speakers from Catholic Charities, the United Nations and experts on traficking and exploitation of girls and women will appear at the event.
Topics will include economic and legal issues resulting from violence against women, the dignity of the human person and allow for the exchange of experiences from people of different nations, according to a press release from the office of the Holy See.
Some of the discussion topics that are a part of many womens day-to-day lives including caregiving, aging with dignity and security and moral and economic issues will also be addressed.
