Rosh Hashana Recipes

Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, starts at sun-down on Wednesday night. If you're hosting Rosh Hashana dinner or just need to bring along a dish to a potluck Rosh Hashana feast, these recipes are for you. They're all easy to prepare and definite crowd-pleasers.

  • Brisket -- The traditional Jewish recipe gets a face-lift with the addition of fresh onions and Merlot.
  • Noodle Kugel -- What would any Jewish holiday be without kugel? This version is creamy and delicious and much lower in fat than most.
  • Scalloped Potatoes -- Creamy and yummy! A real crowd-pleaser.
  • Roasted Green Beans -- So delicious!
  • Grilled Vegetables -- Sure, summer is ending. But that doesn't mean you have to stop grilling. These veggies are a hit with everyone.
  • Latkes -- Why wait until Hanukah for these delicious potato pancakes? These have extra veggies, too.
  • Apple Cake -- A delicious apple coffee cake that's great anytime.
  • Flourless Chocolate Cake -- Sure, apples and honey are traditional for Rosh Hashana, but you can never go wrong with chocolate. This cake is a winner!
