Often times, the best vegan recipes are not those that were adapted, but those that were never made with dairy in the first place. Here are my top ten favorites:
1) Orange Cream Cupcakes -- Vanilla cupcakes with orange cream filling and chocolate ganache. Mmm.
2) Beet Chips -- A healthy and tasty alternative to traditional potato chips.
3) Date Coconut Balls -- Crunchy almonds and soft dates are mixed with a surprise ingredient, then rolled in coconut. Mmmmm....
4) Split Pea Soup with Barley -- My all-time favorite soup recipe, this split pea soup is a meal in itself.
5) Roasted Garbanzo Beans -- A quick and simple snack the whole family will love.
6) Tropical Smoothies -- Banana, pineapple, orange juice, coconut and tofu make this frosty smoothie a real summertime treat.
7) Quinoa Pilaf -- A delicious recipe using quinoa.
8) Roasted Green Beans -- The absolutely sweetest way to enjoy green beans.
9) Christmas Salad Recipe -- Despite its name, this salad is best in the summer when fresh raspberries are in season.
10) Guacamole -- The best guacamole dip ever!
