Mmmm...excuse me, while I just finish another bite of this soft oatmeal cookie with rich dark chocolate chips. Oops -- I missed a crumb!
What am I eating? Kashi's new Oatmeal Dark Chocolate Chip cookies, and they are divine. Soft, like a homemade cookie, satisfying like a giant bakery-style cookie, rich with deep dark chocolate chips, and jam-packed with healthy, wholesome ingredients.
All of Kashi's products are natural, made with no artificial ingredients, refined sweeteners, hydrogenated oils or cholesterol.
On top of this, Kashi's cookies have 4 grams of fiber and 2 grams of protein per cookie. And the Oatmeal Raisin Flax cookies (also delicious, but without the chocolate, they just can't meet my criteria for "best healthy cookie") have a whopping 600 mg of Omega-3 fatty acids per cookie!
If you're expecting a bakery sweet cookie, this isn't it. The Kashi cookies have more of an earthy, whole grain sweetness. They're rich and satisfying, with a good "mouth feel" and a wholesome flavor.
Now if I could just get a copycat recipe....
Anybody know of one? Anybody?
