Looking Back at 2007 Predictions

Okay, so the 2007 regular season is (almost) over. There is one game left -- the one game play-in contest between the Rockies and the padres tonight for the National League Wild Card. So, in the sake of fairness and absolutely honesty, I will look back at my preseason picks and predictions.

Correct Calls on Playoff Teams

Red Sox, Yankees, Phillies and Angels all made it (although the Yanks and Sox reversed predicted roles).

Terrible Calls on Playoff Teams

The Dodgers, Mets, Twins and Astros (what was I thinking there?) all missed.

So, I am hitting .500. That's not good enough, I know. Especially my pick on the Astros. That was just awful.

Good Predictions on Milestones

I predicted Bonds would hit Number 756 in mid-August. He did it on August 7th.

I said Glavine would win Number 300 in mid-August. He did it on August 5th.

I thought Biggio would pass 3,000 hits in late June. He did it on June 28th.

Pretty good.
