Mysteries Solved, Finally

After so many months of dead ends and vague clues, I have completely cleared up my Thomas Church and Anne Mainwaring difficulties. After reading through several different Heraldic Visitations for the area, I decided that the information I sought might possibly be found in an old self-published book by James Hall on the history of Nantwich. I was unable to find a copy for sale on CD nor available for viewing online. So I struggled on without it.

But Ancestry.com has a current free trial available, and I discovered completely by accident that they have the entire book in question available for viewing, with images of every page. I dashed in and found extensive pedigrees for both the Church family and the Mainwaring family. I have now placed my Anne Mainwaring into my family tree, and am relieved to find that only a few family members were incorrect in my records.

I'm sure another mystery will soon enough present itself, but having this solved is a huge relief.
