Meet a Friend of Mine

He writes screenplays, stage plays, and fiction, and is the editor of the Oregon Literary Review, which features scripts, poetry, music, art, and other artistic accomplishments.

One of his most interesting aspects, in my opinion, is what he has done in the field of hyperdrama, where instead of the audience being seated in a darkened auditorium looking through the fourth wall, many scenes take place simultaneously in a building with multiple rooms, and the audience is free to wander through the building, following characters around.

For the actors, each one is always on stage, as they travel throughout the building engaging in scenes with others, and then moving on. It's a fascinating concept, and while I have read scripts of this, I have not yet seen such a show. But I understand that many audience members will return night after night to see a different aspect of the overall show.

I think it's fun to explore different concepts and then return to my own work with new perspectives.
