Old Lent Custom

Each of the Sundays during Lent have their own names. According to an old rhyme, they are:

Tid, mid, and misera,

Carling, Palm, Pase-Egg Day.

The meanings of the first three days are not entirely known. Some believe that the names stem from obsolete services that were given on those Sundays.
