It’s almost Halloween and my kids are excited. They’ve changed costume ideas several times already, and they’ve finally settled on “Death Eater” and a psychedelic go-go witch (don’t ask!).
We’ve also been making a lot of crafts to decorate the house. There are the Spooky Spool Bats that we have sitting on the bookcases and jelly cabinet. These were really easy to make and I finally got to use up the old wooden thread spools I had been saving up. There’s also the construction paper Scary Hands. These were a quick Halloween craft that let the kids use their imagination.
We then began to look for crafts to make for the walls and ceilings. The Hanging Pumpkin Patch let us decorate a corner of the living room with a pumpkin patch hanging from the ceiling. Next, we made strands of ghosts to hang along the walls.
We’ve been busy, so far, but this is just the start. Decorating for Halloween happens in layers at my house and we’re still making more crafts to make the house as creepy and fun as possible.
