Tadpoles and Frogs

Go on a frog egg hunt and capture some frog eggs to watch and study. This project is just right for early summer when kids need to be outside.

Let your children watch the eggs as the tadpoles develop and then hatch. The tadpoles then will swim and grow some everyday until they grow lungs, legs, mouths and finally lose their tails.

The children will learn about the lifecycle of the frog and in the process about the different frogs found in their part of the country.

A good lapbook study would be of the species of frogs, where they live, what environment they need and what they eat.

There is plenty of time to study and make lapbooks while the process unfolds before the kids' eyes! I hope you enjoy this article and the project called Tadpoles.
