Many computer manufacturers are giving coupons for free upgrades in order to convince the savvy computer shoppers to purchase now rather than later when Microsoft's Vista Operating System is released.
There has also been an increased demand for mother boards, which is the base that connects everything together inside your computer.
Microsoft has also set up an agreement with many of the makers of personal computers to offer coupons for free hardware upgrades to run their new software. This will hopefully increase sales of the PC's.
The coupon offer will start in October. The agreement is also coupled with Intel's 64 bit enabled Merom processor. These three items together will change our way of computing.
When purchasing a new PC look for the label that says "Windows Vista Capable or Premium Ready PC".
The release of Microsoft's Vista Operating System is scheduled for January 2007.
