Children's Books to Include in Classroom Library

When building a classroom library, it is important to have a good mix of books. Books that are really popular with that particular age group are good to have, but it is also a good idea to have a mix of books that children would not normally have chosen to read.

Additionally, it is a good idea to include some books that will help teach specific lessons regarding some sensitive issues that may come up in class. For example, in inclusion classrooms, dealing with disabilities is a topic that may need to be discussed and there are some excellent books that discuss these topics with great sensitivity.
