I found them at my local grocery store, pale almost translucent yellow peppers. My store calls them Hungarian. They look like bell peppers. But when I got them home and used them in a salad I surprised by the bite. It was a pleasant surprise. They're not hot as such but they do have just a bit more taste than regular bright yellow bell peppers.
I used them in a simple Chinese vegetable stir-fry. Excellent results. The peppers take less time than the regular green thick-skinned ones. The Hungarian peppers with their flavorful taste woke up the stir-fry.
