Persian Cat Nutrition Tips: Tips on Keeping Persian Cats Healthy and Beautiful

Appropriate Food For Persian Cats

Persian cats, despite being our domestic pets, retain predator’s instincts. They will, consequently, want fresh, aromatic, and predominantly raw meals. Their fur, in order to keep shining, needs lots of vitamins and regular nutrition.

  • Boiled and raw meat pieces, chicken pieces, sea fish, shrimps and other sea fruits – should all be served in limited amounts as otherwise they may cause cat’s diarrhea. If served raw, all the previously mentioned food products should be carefully washed under running water;
  • Boiled vegetables – carrot, celery, and cabbage pieces that can be served together with the meat cut into tiny cubes;
  • Dairy products – white cheeses, milk, eggs – all should be boiled, fresh, and low-fat;
  • Fresh water;
  • Can food appropriate for cat’s age.

Avoid spices, raw fish, sausages, and generally high-calories food.

Inappropriate Food For Persian Cats

  • Serving cold and not fresh foods – cat shouldn’t eat wastes. If something is not fresh enough for humans, it’s the same for cats;
  • Feeding cats to dog’s food – artificially produced foods contain proper amounts of vitamins appropriate only for particular animals;
  • Bones and fish bones.

Consequences of Bad Cat Nutrition

Diarrhea, urinary tract infection, thyroid problems, obesity, and depression.
