Halloween Fun - Recipes and Articles for a Spook-tac-ular Trick-or-Treat Eve

Halloween has been on my mind, since I drive past a pumpkin patch every morning taking my son to school. I stopped one day last week and caught the patch covered with fog.

I live on a side street with few lights, so I don't get a huge number of trick-or-treaters like my family did up on Main Street. That's OK. I enjoy the ones who do come, and the boys and I always brew up some fun for Halloween.

One of our favorite projects ever was Halloween Spooky Hands. Very easy to make. Inexpensive. Fun.

We've also had great fun making our own Homemade Halloween Fog. That does take more planning and work, but it's worth it.

We, of course, always make a Jack-o-lantern. How could we not with passing the pumpkin patch every day?

Our fun pumpkin activities include roasting the pumpkin seeds for snacks later and cooking down the pumpkin to make puree for holiday recipes like Pumpkin Pie later in the season.

One of our funniest Halloween memories is when Snow White and a princess showed up at the door, and a black snake had crawled up on the porch. The girls commented on how real the snake looked. Yeah. It was real. We just played along and then ran the snake off after the trick-or-treaters got back in the car.
