If you want to prolong the joys of fresh blueberry treats, then buy extra and freeze. You don't have to do anything extra or special to save them. Just bag them and freeze. I use small zip locks and bag 1 cup per zip lock. These fit in small spaces in the freezer, so that's nice too.
Your frozen berries work fine in blueberry pancakes and also in Blueberry Nut Bread. If you can't eat nuts, then just leave those out. No problem. This is a really good recipe that is so delicious that it can be served as dessert if you like. If you're like me, then you're more likely to make bread when it gets a little cooler. In the south (anyway), it's sure hot to use the oven in the summer.
