Rachel Lister

Hi! My name is Rachel Lister and I am excited to be the new writer for the Infants and Toddlers Topic! I have two sons ages 3 1/2 and 1. My baby just turned 1 yesterday and I am amazed at how quickly this year went by. When my oldest son was born I hated going back to work and leaving him so I opened a home daycare and preschool in order to stay home with him. I have loved working from home and spending time with my own children and my daycare children. It has been a wonderful experience for my whole family.

I have experienced many of the trials and joys of having an infant and a toddler, both with my own children and the children that I work with. It is a tough age for everyone involved but it is also one of the most rewarding. I love baby toes and baby cheeks. I love the late night snuggles that end all too quickly and I love watching as my children learn new skills and begin to create an identity for themselves.

I hope that I can share my experiences with the readers here at Suite 101 and be a support to parents and caregivers of infants and toddlers.
