The last time we took a road trip with my youngest son he was still in the baby stage. He slept most of the way there and happily went along with whatever we had planned. We have a trip planned now and this time he has moved into the toddler stage. He cannot sit still for more than five minutes and he screams and wiggles if he is forced into his car seat when he does not want to. This is a whole new adventure in parenting.
Luckily, he is old enough that he has a few favorite toys and he will sit and watch parts of a movie in the car. Notice I said "parts". This child has never sat through an entire movie in his life. The first few hours he will be fine in the car but once the novelty wears off it is up to me and his big brother to keep him happy as we travel.
