Breastfeeding Basics

Many experienced mothers have strong opinions about breastfeeding. Some mothers had a very difficult time breastfeeding for one reason or another and like to warm new mothers away from it. The vast majority of mothers who have tried breastfeeding, however, are ready and willing to share the wonderful bonding experiences that they had with their baby because of breastfeeding.

Just like pregnancy and childbirth, everyone experiences breastfeeding in a different way. As mothers, we all have to make the choice that is best for our baby and ourselves. There is no generalized norm that makes breastfeeding easy or hard. The more information you have the better prepared you will be to breastfeed your baby and the more likely you will be to succeed.
