Waxing Eyebrows

Needless to say that baby ended up in the trash within 30 minutes of gracing my home.

Being the good student I once was, I sat down and read the directions completely. I heated the wax to the correct consistency in my microwave, just as the directions indicated, and applied the wax to shape my eyebrows. I then rubbed the paper 2-3 times, again like the directions said, and pulled the paper off in the opposite direction. As I headed to my shower I felt this strong stinging sensation over my left eye. I looked in my mirror and to my alarm a nice chunk of skin was missing! I mean MISSING! That wax ripped off a layer of my skin!!! I sit at my computer hours later and still feel the pain of this incident. It is confirmed people...I will tweeze for the rest of my LIFE!

waxing is fine, but you really need to go to a licensed esthetician or someone who has proper training. All waxing kits or products have written on the directions for professional use only and thats because consumers can cause demage just as you did with the chunk of skin missing. There is a procedure to follow when waxing. Always check the temperature of wax. It also sounds as if when you pulled in the opposite direction which is correct procedure you forget to hold/pull the skin taunt and pull in opposite direction with other hand and also you must've lifted straight up and not an a angle when you pulled the strip. So again waxing is really a nice service when it is performed correctly:) sorry you had to go through that:(
