Makeup Shelf Life

Why is that? The FDA regulates everything else, right? Why don't they have mandatory shelf life for cosmetics? It is bad for us to use old cosmetics. Not just for our skin but old cosmetics can also infect your eyes. I think I have really had a moment of brilliance in this blog. If we are not supposed to use our mascara after three months, why isn't it printed on the packaging somewhere? How many people know how long foundation should remain on their shelf? I think it would benefit everyone. Companies would be selling more because the consumers are throwing the makeup away like we are supposed to. And consumers would not be using old makeup, leading to less breakout, skin problems and eye infections.
