Art Teacher Lesson Plans

As a Substitute teacher, I have perused a variety of lesson plans. The majority of the lesson plans do not incorporate art into any of the classes. For the majority of the days students are sitting at their desks using numbers and letters as the only medium to illustrate an answer. Art has great power in an assortment of classes. Many students tire and become restless writing for hours on end. They want to use another multiple intelligence but often they are restricted to strengthening their logical and linguistic intelligences.
Art can be used as an adjunct in all subject matter. Students have greater success of retaining new information if they use more than one multiple intelligence. Incorporate art into your classes effortlessly.
