Mystery and His Duds

Okay, what was UP with Mystery and his “in cognito” get up on the last Pick Up Artist? Did he think that hiding in plain site would keep him from being recognized? Or perhaps he thought he’s such a great ladies man that the women would be all over him and therefore ignore Kosmo, Brady, and Joe?

Before wearing the Amish man get up, he first donned a black top and pants, hair pulled back ala Olive Oil, and a silver garland scarf hanging from his neck.

For the past few weeks he shows up in his fuzzy King Vitamin hat during eliminations, and with the giant fly outfit in his final tip segment before each field challenge.

Which makes me ask: What is the deal with Mystery and his outfits? Does he wear this stuff just to stand out or because he genuinely likes it?

I suppose the fact that I’m commenting on it in this blog IS the answer – he gets him noticed. But do the clothes he wears really help him meet women? Or, to ask a more universal question:
