Internet Dating Scams

Many people have success with online dating. But at least a few times a year we hear of someone who was taken advantage of in an Internet dating scam.

There's no doubt that everytime singles meet someone new, they put themselves at risk. That doesn't mean they should stop dating. It means they need to be careful at all time and be aware of the typical signs of scams that could save them from a bad situation.

Remember, until you know someone well and have seen them in a variety of situations, you don't know them. Don't stop dating, just dating the smart way.

I have been topping up phone credit for a guy iv not met for a year i thought it was real love iv spent thousands and i dont have his land line he wants to leave his partner for me i feel so stupid

i have been talking to a lovely guy (i think) who is away working and he has now told me his daughter is sick and they may run out of money before they are due back. He has now asked me if i have any spare cash till he gets back, he has said he loves me and because i have been having a very low time i believed him and have said it back - now i feel really stupid!
