Crossword Proposal

Talk about proposals! Here's a great one:

According to the Boston Globe, "the clue for 111 across in Tuesday's Sunday magazine crossword puzzle was "Generic Proposal." The answer (spoiler alert, for those still working on it!) was "Will you marry me?"

Aric Egmont had been thinking for months how to ask his girlfriend, Jennie Bass, to marry him. Since they started dating, Egmont and Bass both tackled the magazine's crossword regularly. So Egmont contacted the paper this summer if they could write a special puzzle that would help him pop the question.

Of course, the reason this whole event was so great was because it was specific to the two of them. That's one of the keys of a great marriage proposal, isn't it Suite readers? Here's the quote I especially love from Egmont:

  • "On our fourth date, I knew I had found the kind of dork I could love."

Want to find your own dork to love? There are plenty of ways to do it - get started today! (And if you end up with a great proposal like this one, do write and tell me, K?)
