Crate training

Dogs are den animals naturally so a crate is not cruel. Many dogs learn to love their crates and start to go there on their own to lay down and take naps. Many dogs and puppies are easily trained with a command to go to their crate. I always used “go to your house,” but many people use “kennel.” Any command will do as long as you stay consistent.

Consistency is the key to any dog training. Good luck with potty training.
