Bike Security this Christmas

Are you expecting a shiny new bicycle for Christmas this year? If so, the first thing you must do is plan how to keep that bike secure.

Whilst more and more people are taking to cycling as a healthy from of exercise and an eco-friendly means of transport to work and school, sadly, bike theft is ever on the increase.

In the United Kingdom, almost half a million bikes are stolen every year and in the US the figure is over 5.5 million with a staggering 10% of that number coming out of New York City alone.

In the excitement of riding that new bike, many cyclists don’t even think about security such as taking the simple steps of insuring the bike and buying a good quality lock.
