Years ago when we were expecting our first baby, I was working for a company that gave me a very timely bonus. I used that bonus to buy a brand new crib, probably the only item of baby gear we bought new. That crib was well used as we went on to have four children, and when I was finished with it I passed it on to a friend who was just beginning the journey of parenthood. The crib was still in good shape, and luckily it still met all of the current safety standards.
But many used cribs do not meet those safety standards. Do you know if yours is still considered up to par? Are you considering buying a used crib but are unsure of what to watch out for? Learn what today's standards are, and what you should check on your baby crib.
