North of Nowhere Concludes

NoN is presented by the Edmonton Small Press Association. Here is a look at some of the art installations, and one film screening. The art installations include:

  • Stupid Protests (APIRG, U of A campus): Photoshop-remixed versions of protest photos from various rallies and marches.
  • Street Art Workers Poster Project: Land & Globalization Series (outside Naked Cybercafe): a look at how corporate globalization has affected our world, how it has impacted the land, and how people are fighting back.
  • JustSeeds (Naked Cybercafe): a decentralized community of artists who have banded together to collaborate with and support each other and social movements.
  • Ingrid Rice (Outdoors, North Side, Jasper Ave. at 108 St.): the only western-based national female editorial cartoonist.

The film screening was from the Day of Darfur.
