A Look Back

It has been an interesting week of highs and lows. My husband and I had a wonderful opportunity to talk about the early years of our marriage, raising our two daughters and now watching our oldest leave for college in 2 days.

I have had more than one flashback from my own pregnancies and births this week as we reflected on how much our lives have changed and how we have grown together. Though at first, having 2 children two years apart seemed overwhelming for both of us, I am glad now that they have a lot in common and are steadfast friends.

I decided to offer a new poll this week on the topic of spacing of children since that is one question I hear from new parents all the time. Is there an ideal spacing between children? Be sure to look over my brand new article, Spacing between Siblings.

Our last poll on epidurals had some surprising results. The largest number of people indicated that they are interested in trying only non-medical options for pain, rather than an epidural. In response, I will be working on an article that describes various non-medical comfort measures for labor in the next few weeks.

Also be sure to let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for future articles. I look forward to hearing from you!
