During the early days of our business, we struggled through a cheap phone service using simple phones - we had poor quality and didn't get voicemails over this service until 2 or 3 days later! By that time, the customers had chosen someone else to do their project.
Recently, we upgraded to a nice enterprise phone system by Packet8. We now have hold capability, music on hold, a nice auto attendant, and the ability to forward our phones as needed. We get voice mails immediately, and can access them through our emails also.
It has made a world of difference in our business!
The easier it is to get in touch with you, the more customers will flock to you!
The renowned Duct Tape Marketing blog recently had a post with a link to a widget that allows you to place a Click to talk button on your website. The customer clicks, and is immediately connected to your business phone.
