Although the naysayers are blasting this transaction as making no sense - why would Google buy a profitless company - I think it shows the world once again that Google has a great deal of vision.
Not only will YouTube bolster Google's flagging video division, it opens up a whole new world of possibilities for Google Adwords and Google Adsense.
Google has long been seen to be moving into the direction of adding video content to its ad services. YouTube has many fresh new videos posted constantly - what if these user generated videos that appeal to the mass market were to be added as choices for ad creation?
Adwords customers will most likely have the option of creating their own videos with a unique flair, to add to their campaigns. Internet watching has already begun to take over network television for many in terms of preferred entertainment medium.
Look for Google to expand Marketing services offered to customers in a unique and fun way that only Google can provide!
