Men and Knitting / Crocheting
Since the end of December, I’ve been telling you a bit about my family, and joking about my husband learning how to knit or crochet. (Really, I’d be happy with either.) However, this week I’m not joking—for once.
I want men to knit. Or crochet. Or both!
What is it about the fiber arts and men? It used to be that the knitter’s guild only included men. When did it become a “female” art?
More importantly, what would it take to include more men?
I sincerely want to know. So, even if you have never voted in a poll before, please take a moment to vote now. This is the first in a series of polls that will address the question, “What will it take to involve more men in the fiber arts?”
People in the industry believe that the fiber arts could be in danger—especially if half of the population does not want to take part in it!
You guys don’t know what you’re missing!
