Brazil's economy

According to the CIA factbook, Brazil has a huge manpower pool of 90.41 million (2005 est.), and the fact that 68% of the population belongs to the productive 15-64 age group adds to the advantage.

GDP growth rate: 2.4% (2005 est.)

GDP per capita: $8,400 (2005 est.)

Major exports: transport equipment and parts, soybeans, coffee, oils

Exports of goods and services: $115.1 billion f.o.b. (2005 est.)

Major export trading partners: US 22.9%, Argentina 6.2%, China 6.2%, Netherlands 5.8 %, Germany 4.3%

Major imports: machinery and electrical equipment, chemical products, oil
