What do sumo wrestlers eat?

Although sumo wrestlers do imbibe in greasy food, apparently, their weight gain has little to do with hamburgers but with soup! The mainstay of the sumo wrestler's diet is a substantial soupy stew called chankonabe, which - in the Nagasaki dialect - translates to "Chinese pot stew."
